1. (기간) ahead + of (명사) : (명사)보다 (기간) 앞서
- We booked the suite 3 months ahead of Thanksgiving Day.

* of (명사) 생략 가능
* ahead of 대신 before 사용 가능

 

2. Most (명사) : 대부분의 (명사)
- Most people are right-handed.

* 복수명사 혹은 셀 수 없는 명사 사용

 

3. put (목적어) + on the waiting list : (목적어)를 대기 명단에 올리다

- The candidate held her breath while they were counting the votes.
